Merry Christmas!

This fall has been busy with moving, painting, art shows and life. :) I ditched the 30 in 30 challenge early on because we moved in September, but I didn't stop painting. I've done several plein air paintings (see the bottom 2 in this group) and dog portraits. The cotton painting was just for fun. My mom paints cotton a lot and I had never tried it before.

In January I'm going to attempt to join the 30 in 30 challenge again!! We'll see how that goes with homeschooling my son.

Here's one more, which I used to create change of address cards after we moved.

Day Six (but painting #3!)

Well, I have probably taken on too much by trying to do 30 paintings in 30 days during the month we move! Crazy. But if I get 15 paintings done in these 30 days I'll be happy with how much I accomplish. Here is the third painting, which is actually a sketch of the figs growing on a tree in our backyard.

"Roux"

This is my second entry in the 30/30 challenge. I'm behind already! Yikes. Anyway, it's a commission of a painting of a friend's dog. It was fun to do!

Pipe Dreams

I'm participating in Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge. Crazy, I know, especially since we are in the midst of moving this month! However, I needed the challenge. :-)

Here is my first entry! I'm dreaming of the beach.

30 Day Challenge!

In September, I plan to take part in Leslie Saeta's "30 Paintings in 30 Days" challenge. I may be nuts because we are also going to be moving during the month of September, but I think it will be a fun experience. Plus, I really need the challenge!

I will be posting the paintings on this blog and hope that using the Blogpress ipad app will work well. We shall see! Meanwhile, here is a painting I did last year using a copyright free photo from a challenge in Wetcanvas:

New blogging app

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've updated my blog. My computer started refusing to interact with blogspot, not allowing me to upload any photos. Anyway, I've just downloaded a blogging app for my ipad and I'm giving it a try.

Here is a commissioned painting I finished just recently. It was a lot of fun! Sorry for the oddly cropped photo. I'm still figuring this thing out.
