#3 in the 30/30 "Phyllis" ?

I knew I was going to paint this chicken from the moment I took the reference photo at the Newnan Poultry Show a couple of years ago. How could I not?? Now to figure out a name for it. 6x6 watercolor on panel.

NEW 30/30 challenge day 1

Once again I'm giving it a try! Even if I don't get 30 paintings done in these 30 day challenges, I always get more done than I would if I hadn't done the challenge. I enjoy it. Here's my first painting. 6x6 on aquaboard panel. Tomorrow I will take a better photo in the daylight.

Autumn Wreath

I did this small painting last year when we first moved into a much smaller house than the one we were in. I was sad about having to put most of our things into storage, and decided to create a wreath for the front door for some color and cheer. Then I painted it! Matted 8"x10", $45.

Busy Bee

I have a friend who loves beekeeping. She's asked me to paint bees for a while, now, and I finally got a good photo to use as a reference. This was painted on a 6"x6" square of clayboard, which is very slick. It's fun, but it doesn't behave like watercolor paper!
