#3 in the 30/30 "Phyllis" ?

I knew I was going to paint this chicken from the moment I took the reference photo at the Newnan Poultry Show a couple of years ago. How could I not?? Now to figure out a name for it. 6x6 watercolor on panel.

#2 in the 30/30 challenge

The weather is still gloomy, so I've again got a not-so-great photo. But I'm having fun painting these 6x6 boards!

Here's another colorful fall tree. All fall I wanted to paint these trees!

NEW 30/30 challenge day 1

Once again I'm giving it a try! Even if I don't get 30 paintings done in these 30 day challenges, I always get more done than I would if I hadn't done the challenge. I enjoy it. Here's my first painting. 6x6 on aquaboard panel. Tomorrow I will take a better photo in the daylight.

Buff Roo

This guy looks like he has an attitude. Of course, I've never met a rooster that didn't!! This is 6x6 watercolor on clayboard. 

His Highness

I have enjoyed painting on these clayboard panels. This one is 6"x6".

Orange Daylily

This was painted as part of a 12x12 challenge. I didn't have square mats but found 12x12 square frames, so I just drew the square within the 12x12 to make it look like a mat. Fun!

This is one that I did during September's 30/30 challenge. I only got three done that month!

Day 2/30: "His Highness"

I love this rooster's puffed up chest! His comb reminds me of a crown, so his name immediately became "His Highness". This is painted with watercolor on a 6"x6" Clayboard panel.
